so we went to Sequoia National Park, and the drive there was about 6-7 hours, which wasn't that bad. slept for like 4, and then just talked and bonded with the people in our car for the other 2-3. arrived at the camp at around 2 and just settled in and got used to our camp site the rest of the day.
on friday we went on a hike to the waterfall about 2 miles from our campsite. very tiring, but i felt a sense of accomplishment afterwards. the waterfall itself was really pretty and the water was ice cold. came back, ate dinner and played games around the bonfire for the rest of the night.
today, or yesterday, we went to go visit the biggest tree on earth, called The General Sherman. not necessarily the tallest, but no other tree in the world has as much wood in their trunk than the Sherman apparently. so in other words, looots of junk in its trunk. very interesting, it was.
we even stopped by the souveneir shop afterwards, and i got a glow in the dark frisbee thing, but i think i lost it. oh darn.
oh, and there are plenty of pictures from this trip, but more on that later on.
as i experienced this trip, i realized how i'm very much like my mother, but instead of relating everything to the Bible, i relate a lot of things to Twilight. this weekend, so many things reminded me of Twilight, like at one point our Phamily went on a shuttle bus thing, and the driver drove really really fast; like Edward Cullen. then for lunch today, we went to this random place in the Sequoia Forest and i visited this pretty meadow; like the meadow scene in Twilight. and there were tons of bugs around in our campsite, and we were discussing how they like our family's blood; like vampires in general.
but yeah, all in all, i enjoyed camping. i didn't even shower! instead i bathed in the river water there, and used the wind as a blow dryer, haha.
